Sadie is a sweet, resilient girl who came to us from a local shelter after being found as a stray. She was underweight and unfortunately, blind, but we were happy to bring her into our care. Despite her visual impairment, Sadie is a remarkably independent and happy dog! She navigates her foster home with confidence and loves to be part of the family action. She has a big appetite and is especially enthusiastic about meal times, which also include her twice-daily insulin injections – a process she handles like a champ! Sadie is house-trained and doesn't need to be crated, as she respects her surroundings and doesn't get into things she shouldn't. She's a morning person, eager to start the day with a potty break and a delicious breakfast. While she might bump into things if they're moved, she's otherwise adept at getting around. Sadie adores people and soaks up all the affection she can get. She can be a little shy with new dogs at first, but with a gentle introduction, she warms up and enjoys their company.
