Hi there! I'm Carbo!

Just like the thing that keeps your car running smoothly, I am an integral part of any family! I am a sweet and calm girl, but if you want to get me going, just show me the way to the food. One of my most impressive traits, according to my fosters, is how quickly I learn. For example, staying in a crate is no problem for me, and I have almost completely mastered house training. We are still working on my behavior on leashed walks, (all the new sights and smells are just so distracting!), but with some work, I know I can get it down.

Unlike vehicles, though, this Carbo is one size fits all! Tested and approved for homes with cats, dogs, kids of all ages, and even the occasional chicken, there is no preferential treatment when it comes to my affection. There are no limitations when it comes to the type of home I would thrive in, but if given a choice, a home that can provide an appropriate amount of exercise and attention would be perfect! Families run like well oiled machines, so can I be the Carbo you need?

Ongoing Health

Our adoption donation includes spaying/neutering, microchipping with free lifetime registration, and age-appropriate vaccinations (DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies), deworming, and heartworm treatment/prevention.

Training & Support

We are still working on my behavior on leashed walks, but with some work, I know I can get it down. Adopters can earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in-person training course. Path of Hope offers post-adoption owner support including information on making the transition smooth, recommendations for preferred trainers, advice on pet behavior and wellness topics, Facebook litter groups, and invitations to rescue-hosted events.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email response (please check your spam folder).
• Your personal Matchmaker will then contact you to help find your perfect pup match and guide you through the process.
• You will meet your potential pup at the foster family's home (the process may differ slightly for long-distance adopters).
• You can bring your potential pup home for a no-commitment In-Home Trial. This trial is a minimum of two nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time.
• Finally, you will sign the adoption paperwork and bring your new family member home!

Transportation

I am located in Spokane, WA. Long-distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.
