Beau Beau

Beau Beau is a dog with a story—and even more importantly, a dog with incredible potential. Since starting his board & train program, he’s been putting in the work every single day, and we’ve been so proud watching him grow into a more confident, thoughtful, and connected version of himself. At his core, Beau Beau is everything you’d hope for: happy, affectionate, playful, and deeply loving with his people. Once he settles in, he builds strong bonds and truly enjoys connection—whether that’s exploring the outdoors, leaning in for affection, or showing off his newest skills.

Beau Beau has been working hard on building focus and engagement with his handler, practicing polite greetings and loose leash walking, learning to stay calm and make thoughtful choices around distractions, and developing strong impulse control and self-regulation. He’s actively choosing to disengage from things that once overwhelmed him and is becoming more confident navigating the world around him. He’s especially loved scent work and structured activities—anything that lets him use his brain and stay engaged. Give this boy a job, and he will shine.

Ideal Home

Beau Beau is looking for a home that will continue supporting all the amazing progress he’s made. His ideal home will include an adopter with experience handling dogs with more complex backgrounds (including dogs who may have experienced trauma or dog-fighting environments), someone committed to continuing his training and providing structure and consistency, a securely fenced-in yard where he can safely explore and decompress, and a home that understands his needs around other dogs and will continue setting him up for success. Beau Beau does best when he has clear guidance, thoughtful handling, and a person he can trust—and in return, he gives back so much love, loyalty, and heart.

Ongoing Health

Beau is neutered, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Beau Beau has been working hard on building focus and engagement, polite greetings, loose-leash walking, staying calm around distractions, and impulse control. He’s learning to pause instead of react and is becoming more confident. He particularly enjoys scent work and structured activities.

With his adoption, Beau’s adopter will receive ongoing support including 50% off training for the rest of his life, 50% off grooming services at PetSuites for life, and 20% off all other PetSuites services for life.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Potential adopters will be required to travel to PetSuites Novi and attend a 1-hour training session with Beau Beau and his trainer(s) before an official decision can be made.
• He will not be able to go home the same day as meeting him, but we can arrange for a pick-up soon after as long as everything goes well during the session.
• The adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care he has received.
