About Clover Good Luck Girl
You just found a four-legged Clover! Consider yourself lucky! This Clover comes with a little luck, a lot of love, and a gorgeous brindle coat. Clover does not disappoint, from the moment you meet her she is all wiggly greetings, bright eyes, and that "where have you been all my life?" energy.
Clover is estimated to be around 3 years old and appears to be a Boxer/Pittie mix. She's smart, expressive, and clearly enjoys working with her people. She already knows "sit" and "speak," and when you give her a little direction (and maybe a snack or two), she locks in and tries her heart out. She has all the makings of a dog who will make training feel like a shared activity instead of a chore. Her vibe with people is easy and natural. Clover greets with a full-body wiggle, checks in often, and genuinely enjoys being part of whatever you're doing. She has well-loved dog energy and a deep love for booty-scratches.
With other dogs, Clover is social and friendly with a classic boxer-ish playstyle and big personality. She met a big bully boy who loved her confident, rough and tumble energy and matched it perfectly! With each new dog she met it was easy to see that although she has a love for some rowdy play, she reads other dogs well and adjusts when she meets a dog who has calm companion presence. She did especially well with a steady, confident male who kept things neutral, and she also showed she can coexist nicely with calmer, more submissive dogs. Clover could happily live with another dog but is also so people adoring that she could easily be happy as a solo dog. She also showed really nice manners when she met a small and spicy dog. No matter how reactive he got she stayed calm and chose to disengage and focus on her people instead. That choice-making says a lot about her. Clover also met our house cat and handled it with a calm, respectful approach. She was curious but not pushy, and more inclined to give space than create tension. With a dog-savvy cat and a thoughtful introduction, she has the potential to do well, though an overnight trial would be ideal to confirm.
Ideal Home
Because of her love of zoomies and current leash skills, Clover would be happiest in a home with a yard rather than an apartment setting. She will thrive with room to run and play.
Ongoing Health
Clover is a healthy girl and has received all age-appropriate vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, and a heartworm test. She has also been spayed and microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
On leash, Clover brings that same enthusiasm she has for life. She's strong, engaged, and still learning how to channel all that excitement into a more relaxed walk. She'll benefit from continued leash work and structure, and once she has that, she's going to be a really fun, interactive walking buddy.
