Nora

Nora is a bright and loving 2-year-old, 32-pound Caramelo Dog/Labrador Retriever mix with a coat as warm as her heart. She's a social butterfly who adores dogs, children, and adults alike, bringing an abundance of energy and happiness wherever she goes. Nora loves to run, play, and explore, making her the perfect companion for an active family.

Nora's journey began in Houston, where she and her sisters faced hardship. Sadly, two of her sisters were lost before Nora and her surviving sister were rescued. Despite this difficult start, Nora has blossomed into a joyful and affectionate dog, eager to leave her past behind and find a forever family to cherish.

Ideal Home

Nora would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where she can safely play and explore. An active family that enjoys outdoor activities and can provide plenty of playtime and attention would be ideal. She needs a family with an understanding of rescue animals, their need for protection and education, and who has experience with dog behavior and training. Patience and tolerance for a rescued puppy are a must.

Ongoing Health

Nora has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccinations, Bordetella vaccination, deworming, a heartworm test, and a health certificate.

Training & Support

Nora is not yet house-trained, which is understandable given her history. The rescue team acknowledges that they are unable to house-train every foster pet due to the sheer number of animals needing care. She will benefit greatly from a patient owner experienced in dog behavior and training.

Transportation

Nora is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers the service provided by a transport company.
