PUMPKIN

Pumpkin is a sweet female Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who is an adult. She is currently in our Foster-to-Adopt program, meaning she can start her new life with you while she finishes up her heartworm treatment. HSMO will provide all the necessary food, medication, and veterinary care throughout her treatment period, and our staff is here to answer any questions you may have. Once her treatment is complete, she'll be ready to become a permanent member of your family!

Ideal Home

Pumpkin needs a quiet home environment while she recovers. This means no roughhousing or playing hard with people or other pets. She must be kept on a leash at all times when outside and only go for short, 15-minute walks, three to four times a day. Once her treatment is over, she'll be ready to run, play, and be silly again!

Ongoing Health

Pumpkin is currently being treated for heartworm disease. HSMO will cover all costs associated with her treatment, including medication and veterinary visits. You will be responsible for bringing her to the shelter for scheduled vet appointments.

Training & Support

While Pumpkin is in recovery, her activity needs to be very limited to ensure the success of her heartworm treatment. She requires a calm environment and will need to be kept on a leash and only taken for short walks.
