Josie

Josie is a 5-month-old, 19 lb female Retriever mix with a striking one brown and one ice-blue eye. She was rescued with her siblings and is now enjoying learning how to be a playful pup. Josie is a sweet and lively girl who loves to snuggle, and she's known to be a bit of a bed hog. She's crate trained but would much prefer the comfort of a couch or bed. Josie enjoys playing with toys and sunbathing and is beginning to practice her leash manners. She can be a little timid when exploring new things, so patience will be key. She's doing well with potty pad training and would likely do well with gentle children or other doggy playmates.

A home that can offer patience as she explores new things and would be open to sharing the bed or couch with her.

Josie is up-to-date on all core vaccinations and has been spayed.

Training & Support

Josie is crate trained but prefers the couch or bed. She is working on potty training and is doing well with potty pads. She can be a little timid, so continued positive reinforcement and patience will help her thrive.

Transporation

Josie is currently located in South Texas and can be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and other states on the East and West Coast, with placement in her adoptive family's home.
