Mavis is a gentle, friendly girl with a sweet personality that shines once she settles in. Born around February 2024, she spent the beginning of her life in a remote Texas farmhouse with an elderly woman who loved her. When her owner was evicted, Mavis found herself needing a new start. Despite the changes, she remains incredibly loving towards people and enjoys being near her humans. She can be a little reserved with unfamiliar dogs, so she might do best as an only dog, soaking up all the attention. However, she could adapt to a home with another dog if introductions are slow, thoughtful, and guided by someone experienced. Mavis has recently learned to walk on a leash and use a crate, and she's doing great with both. She just needs a little patience and a calm environment to help her feel secure. Mavis is the type of dog whose bond grows deeper and stronger over time, starting out cautious and blossoming into a loyal, loving companion who adores her person. She deserves a safe and loving home where she can finally relax and be cherished.

Mavis would thrive in a calm environment where she can slowly build trust and security. She might do best as an only dog, but could potentially live with another dog with careful, guided introductions. A visible fence is required.

Mavis is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. Her adoption fee includes her spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and a health certificate for travel.
Training & Support

Mavis is located in Texas. Transport services are available for adopters outside of Texas, with fees varying by location. Northeast transport is $200. Northwest and Midwest transport ranges from $225-$350. Southeast transport ranges from $250-$350.
