Spork

Spork is a charming 12-year-old Chihuahua who arrived at the shelter as a stray. While we don't know his full story, we believe he must have had a loving home at some point, as it's hard to imagine a small dog surviving on the streets for so long! Sadly, no one came to claim him. Thankfully, one of our dedicated volunteers opened their heart and home to foster this sweet senior boy, helping him navigate the confusion of the shelter environment. Spork absolutely adores cuddling and will snuggle up close to his favorite person. He's quite vocal about his need for attention and will gently paw at your hand if you stop petting him, ensuring the adoration continues. Spork is a wonderfully mellow companion who enjoys simply relaxing with his human, perhaps watching TV while receiving plenty of affection.

Ideal Home

Spork is looking for a home where he can be showered with affection. He enjoys quiet companionship and would likely do well in a home where he can be close to his people.

Ongoing Health

Spork is a senior dog and is noted to be blind, which is a special need to be aware of.

Training & Support

Spork may need some patience as he adjusts to a new home. He is not house-trained and will require a consistent routine and positive reinforcement to help him learn. He is very clear about his desire for pets and will let you know when he wants more!
