About Yogi Bear

Yogi might be the loyal, easygoing, and quietly devoted companion you've been searching for! This sweet 5-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix, weighing around 63 pounds, has a wonderfully soft chestnut coat and a perpetually smiling, slightly wrinkled face. Yogi has a calm and grounded presence, forming deep bonds with her people and simply wanting to be by your side. She's friendly and affectionate, though she may take a moment to warm up to new faces. Once she does, she's a joy to have around, settling in quickly and seamlessly becoming part of your life without any fuss.

Ideal Home

Yogi would do best in a home with older, respectful children and someone who will appreciate her deep bonds. She's adaptable and would be happy in a house or apartment, as long as she gets regular exercise.

Ongoing Health

Yogi is currently heartworm positive and has begun treatment. She will need a committed adopter who can continue her care. She is otherwise a healthy and wonderful dog.

Training & Support

Yogi is fully potty trained and crate trained. She walks well on a leash with occasional reminders and is considered low-maintenance and adaptable. When it comes to other dogs, Yogi can be a bit selective. She does best with calmer, easygoing dogs and prefers one-on-one interactions rather than busy group settings. She has also been exposed to cats and did well.
