Georgey is an 11-month-old, 32 lb pup with an adorable, petite build. We believe he's a mix of Australian Kelpie with Lab or Catahoula. Georgey was born on a ranch in South Texas and came to us with his brother, Johnny. He's been in foster care since March 2025, looking for his forever home. He's a true crowd-pleaser, always eager to try new things and a bit of a class clown. Georgey is more submissive and loves being accepted by other dogs, big and small. He enjoys his toys and playing in the yard, and his relaxed, easy-going nature makes him a great fit for most households. He loves to be by your side, following you around and aiming to please. Georgey can get a little jealous when other dogs are playing and he's not, often letting out sad whimpers to be let out, which usually works! He really loves his toys and has a knack for turning one toy into many pieces! Tough toys are a must for this energetic pup. He's also met kitties and has no issues with them, so he would be happy in a home with other dogs and cats. Georgey is incredibly friendly and loves kids, strangers, and pretty much any human he meets!
Ideal Home
Georgey would love a home with another dog or dogs to play with. A kiddo pool filled with water for him to relax in would be wonderful, and he'd enjoy going on walks to explore new sights and smells.
Ongoing Health
Georgey is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and de-wormer. He is microchipped. He tested heartworm positive and has received the 30-day course of antibiotics. He needs to stay on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Georgey loves his toys so much that he tends to destroy them. Tough toys are a must!
