Throttle

Throttle is a sweet and strong 10-month-old, 40 lb. Pitbull who was rescued from a difficult situation. He was born with a deformed spine and chest, which affects his walking and bladder control. Despite these challenges, Throttle is a rehabilitated dog with a great desire to please. He can now walk and even run short distances, and he continues to work on his hind limb mobility through ongoing rehabilitation and assistance. He enjoys napping in his crate and playing with his Nylabone toys.

Ideal Home

Throttle has done well with other dogs and children. His bladder control is still a work in progress, and he occasionally leaks urine, for which diapers are currently being used.

Ongoing Health

Throttle was born with a deformed spine and chest that affects his walking and bladder control. There is no surgery that can improve his condition. He has been undergoing physical therapy since being adopted and will need ongoing rehabilitation and assistance. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. He is on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Throttle is still working on his potty training. He loves to gnaw on his Nylabone toys and has a great desire to please, which will be helpful in training.
