Hi, I'm Monty! I'm an 11-month-old Chow Chow with a big heart and an even bigger love for my people. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be by your side, I'm your guy. I absolutely love pets, attention, and spending time with the people I trust. I'm playful and full of personality – I LOVE my toys, and my favorite part of the day is my morning zoomies after breakfast (they're guaranteed to make you smile!). I'm fully potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and very well-behaved in the home. I'm still getting used to some routines, but I'm learning quickly and doing great! I can be a little distracted on walks, but with some continued training, I'll keep improving every day. I get along great with other dogs and have been very friendly with new people I've met, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and a happy attitude. While I'm very people-friendly, Chow Chows are naturally loyal, independent, and strong-willed, so I'll need a home with structure, consistent training, and preferably someone with experience with the breed to help me thrive.
Ideal Home
I'd do best in a home with a fenced yard where I can explore at my own pace and enjoy my time outside. My companions MUST live in your home as part of your family.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heartworm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption.
Training & Support
I can sometimes be a little distracted on walks and may stop to take it all in, but I'm learning quickly. I might not love the vacuum cleaner, but I'm learning to live with it!
