JOCO

Meet Jocko, a charming 2-year-old, 98 lb Lab/Mastiff mix. Jocko is a sweet and affectionate boy who absolutely loves to lay in the sun, play fetch, and snuggle with his favorite people. He's currently feeling the stress of shelter life, which has manifested in hyperventilating, excessive drooling, and a hotspot on his leg that needs time to heal. What Jocko truly needs is a calm and quiet home where he can decompress, recover, and simply be a dog again. Outside of his kennel, Jocko is a friendly, energetic, and playful companion who is potty trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and knows the "sit" command. He has a great track record with children ages 2–8 and has lived successfully with cats. This active guy would thrive in a family that can keep him busy with plenty of walks, playtime, and an abundance of love. More than anything, Jocko needs someone patient, stable, and attentive to help him transition happily out of the shelter. Please don't let kennel stress be your only impression of Jocko; ask to meet him outside his kennel to see the truly sweet and loving dog he is.

Jocko is currently being treated for a hotspot on his leg that needs time to heal.
