Spike is a handsome Husky mix with a heart as big as his personality! He's a smart, silly, playful, and happy boy who is just so grateful to be alive. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Texas and has been diligently undergoing heartworm treatment, making friends, and enjoying life. Now, his biggest dream is to find his forever family! Spike is good with other dogs, but he is a dominant boy, so he would do best as the only dog or with a submissive canine companion. As a Husky, he's an active dog who needs a knowledgeable family who understands the breed's needs, especially their tendency to be escape artists and their significant shedding. Spike would love to escape the Texas heat and would truly thrive in a cooler climate. He's ready to start his new life with you!

Transportation

Spike is currently located in Blue Springs, MO, but transport to your area is available for out-of-state adopters. A $50 temporary fuel fee will be included for out-of-state adoptions.
