Howdy, partner! The name's Rowdy, and I'm a 5-year-old male Hound/Labrador Mix with a friendly heart and plenty of personality, lookin' for a forever ranch to call my own. I may have come from an overcrowded rescue, but these days I'm focused on ridin' toward a brighter future. I've already learned a few tricks along the trail, including sit, down, shake, and speak. Now, about that last one - I am a hound, after all! I've got opinions, stories, and the occasional commentary to share. If you're lookin' for a quiet cowpoke, I might not be your guy. But if you enjoy a dog who'll happily chat back and keep you company, we'll get along just fine. When it comes to walkin' the range, I generally do pretty well on leash and usually pay no mind to other dogs we pass. My real weakness? A good scent. Sometimes my hound nose catches wind of somethin' mighty interestin', and I may try to follow the trail. I can be a strong puller in those moments, but with treats, encouragement, and a little redirection, I'm happy to get back on track. My favorite part of the day is spendin' time with people. I'm a friendly fella who loves attention and won't hesitate to mosey on over for pets, scratches, and a little quality time with my favorite humans. I'm lookin' for a family that appreciates a loyal sidekick, doesn't mind a little hound dog conversation, and is ready for adventures wherever the trail may lead. So what do you say, partner? Ongoing Health
When adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic.
Training & Support
I am a hound, so I have opinions and like to share them! I can be a strong puller on leash when I catch an interesting scent, but with treats, encouragement, and a little redirection, I'm happy to get back on track.

- Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays.
- No appointment is needed.
- Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need for your new pet.
