Onyx is a lovely female dog who came to us from a difficult past. She's a mixed breed, primarily a Labrador Retriever with some Terrier mixed in, and she's a medium-sized adult. Onyx is a bit shy and cautious around new people, a natural response to her past experiences. Building trust with her takes time and patience, but she's a very good girl once she feels secure. She has a primary color of black.

Onyx would do best in a home where she can take her time to warm up to new people. She needs a patient and understanding family who will help her build confidence. She does not do well with children under 8 years old.
