DNA testing shows he's a mix of Mini American Shepherd and German Shepherd, which likely contributes to his sharp mind and active nature. Charlie Barley is a lover of adventure and will happily be your partner on any outing, from daily walks to exploring new trails. Once his exercise needs are met, he's content to relax by your side. He's fantastic with other dogs and people, showing great social skills at doggie daycare. He also adores children, though his boundless enthusiasm means he'd do best with older, dog-savvy kids who can keep up with his playful spirit. Charlie is a smart cookie, eager to please, and highly trainable. He thrives on consistent guidance and positive reinforcement. While he's naturally a bit reserved with strangers, he quickly warms up and becomes a devoted friend. He's house-trained, trustworthy indoors, and doing wonderfully with crate training, often using his crate as a cozy retreat.

- The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
