Cash

Cash is a handsome 5-year-old Shar Pei mix who weighs about 70 pounds. He was found alone and scared, trembling from the cold, but he stayed put, hoping for a kind soul to notice him. His gentle eyes held a story of hardship, but beneath the fear, a longing for love and belonging shone through. It took a little extra effort to safely bring Cash to the vet and into a foster home, where he was initially wary and tried to hide. However, with patience, love, and the gentle care of his foster mom, Esmeralda Vela, Cash's heart has begun to open, and he's learning to trust again. He gets along well with other dogs and has a sweet, quiet nature.

Cash would thrive in a home where he can continue to build trust at his own pace. His future family will need to offer him patience, love, and gentle care to fully earn his trust.

Training & Support

Cash is house-trained. While he is learning to trust people, his new family should be prepared to continue working on building his confidence and reinforcing his trust through gentle interaction and positive experiences.
