Meet Rac! He's a handsome Husky mix with adorable raccoon-like markings, weighing in at 62 lbs, and born around March 11, 2023. Rac is a bundle of happy energy, always ready for playtime with his dog pals or a good romp with his favorite human. He loves exploring on long walks and is eager for new adventures, though getting into the car is still a work in progress – but once he's riding, he enjoys the journey! While Rac can be a little shy at first, a little patience and kindness will reveal his deeply loyal and loving best-bud personality.
Rac was rescued during a harsh winter freeze, having been found roaming and fed by a neighbor. Thankfully, his foster dad stepped in, bringing him to safety. Rac even spent some time with a trainer to help him adjust to indoor living, and he's been doing wonderfully in his foster home with his doggy siblings. He's too energetic for feline friends, but he absolutely adores attention from his people and gets along great with dogs!
Ideal Home
Rac would thrive in an active household where he can go on hikes, play with energetic canine companions, and snuggle with his loved ones. He's a curious soul who loves trying new things and is a fantastic car rider once he's in!

Rac is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Rac is kennel and potty trained. While he's generally well-behaved, his foster dad notes that Rac is too energetic for cats. He's also working on his initial shyness with new people. He previously worked with a trainer for support in transitioning to indoor life.

Transporation
Rac is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and may include pickup locations in nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track their dog's journey using the Life360 app and receive updates, or via Facebook chats.
