Meet Abby! She's a 4-month-old Siberian Husky mix, weighing in at 20lbs, with an estimated adult weight of 70-80lbs. Abby is a gentle soul, a bit timid and cautious as she's still coming out of her shell. She's curious and inquisitive, enjoying short bursts of play before needing quiet time to snuggle. We can see a playful and spunky spirit starting to emerge, and with a little time and patience, we know she'll blossom! Abby is as soft and fluffy as a cloud, resembling a living teddy bear. She adores squeaky toys and playing fetch, and has a cute little trot when she gets excited. She has a knack for finding all the squeaky toys and stashing them in her crate!
Ideal Home
Abby would thrive in a home that can provide her with a safe and quiet space to decompress. While she is cautious with pottying outside, finding a small, enclosed area where she feels secure should help her gain confidence. She does well with cats, kids, and other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Abby is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. Her spay surgery will be scheduled when she is age-appropriate, and this is covered in the adoption fee.
Training & Support
Abby is crate trained and is working on her potty training. She is cautious about pottying outside, so her adopter will need to help her find a safe and comfortable spot. We require all adopters to be committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership.

- We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered, up to date on DHPP/rabies, and monthly preventatives; cats must be altered and up to date on rabies).
- A virtual home visit call will be conducted to discuss the adoption process and view your home.
Transportation
Abby is being fostered in Richmond, VA. Transport may be available to areas within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach to facilitate spay/neuter with our approved clinics.
