GOLIATH

Goliath is an aptly named big old bubba, weighing in at close to 85 pounds. He lived in one home his entire life before coming to the shelter. His former family described him as housebroken, crate trained, and a lover of toys and car rides. He's a smart, playful pup who knows tricks and enjoys the water. He's an affectionate boy who makes the cutest "awoooooos" in his sleep, truly a goofy cartoon character of a dog!

Goliath has also made many friends here at the shelter. Volunteers describe him as a handsome, good boy who waits nicely at the gate and handles well on leash, despite his strength. He's friendly and people-oriented, enjoying praise and affection. He sits nicely on command and follows cues. He's eager for walks and enjoys playtime in the yard, and volunteers say he tries to be a lap dog! He's been an ideal hiking companion, walking at a steady pace, staying on trails, and politely moving aside for others. He's shown himself to be social, tolerant, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.

Ideal Home

Goliath would love a home that can keep up with his energetic spirit. He may do best in a home without young children. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit.
