Meet Venus! This sweet and affectionate 5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, weighing around 45 lbs, is looking for her forever family. Venus is the kind of dog who will gently rest her head on your lap and gaze at you like you're her whole world. She's calm and people-oriented, happy to match your energy, whether that means relaxing on the couch or joining you for an outdoor adventure.
Venus enjoys play sessions with other dogs and especially shines during backyard zoomies. She loves toys and playing with her humans. She also adores playing in water, whether it's a kiddie pool or a stream on a trail. Venus rides great in the car, making her a perfect companion for road trips and adventures.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family. She shows a strong interest in chasing cats, so a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be best. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well in a family with older, respectful kids.

Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She is still working on leash manners and can pull, but she is learning quickly and is very food motivated. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible. Transports run every few weeks and approved dogs will be on the next available transport.
