Rufus

Rufus is a sweet 8-month-old pup, currently weighing around 20 lbs. He was rescued from a difficult situation as a very young puppy, left alone without food or water. Now safe with us in Puerto Rico, Rufus has been fully vetted and is eager to find his forever home. He's a shy boy who will need a patient and understanding family to help him decompress and feel secure. Saving a dog like Rufus, who might be overlooked due to shyness, is incredibly rewarding. He currently thrives in a pack of 8 dogs and would likely do well with another dog in his new home to show him the ropes and help him gain confidence.

Ideal Home

Rufus needs a home with a fenced-in yard to feel safe and explore. His new family should be prepared to give him time to adjust and build trust.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Rufus is a shy boy and will need extra patience and positive reinforcement to help him feel more comfortable and confident. Having another dog in the home can be very beneficial for him.

Rufus is currently located in Puerto Rico and will fly to Newark, NJ, once adopted. His adopter will be responsible for picking him up in Newark, NJ.
