Meet Roo!
Roo is a spirited and intelligent 4-month-old Cattle Dog mix who weighs around 19lbs. She embodies all the wonderful traits that make heelers such incredible companions: loyal, eager to be a part of your life, and always up for an adventure. Roo is looking for a home that can match her energy and provide the mental and physical stimulation she needs to thrive. She's a smart cookie who isn't destructive when her needs are met, and she's already mostly house-trained and fully crate-trained, though she takes a moment to settle into her crate.
Ideal Home
Roo needs an active home with experienced Cattle Dog owners who understand the exercise and enrichment requirements of this breed. She is not a good fit for first-time dog owners or apartment living and requires a fenced yard. A playful, energetic canine companion would be a huge plus, as she thrives with a buddy to play with and keep her engaged. Roo will do best with someone committed to continuing her training and helping her reach her full potential.

Training & Support
Roo is mostly house-trained and fully crate-trained. While she isn't a fan of going into her crate initially, she settles down quickly. She is not destructive, especially when her mind and body are kept busy. Continued training and enrichment are key to her success.

Transporation
Roo is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for adoption and transport to many areas across the country. Her $600 adoption fee includes transport, and there is a good chance we have a transport stop near you!
