Kamoku & Kasumi

Kamoku, a 14-year-old, 17 lb Dachshund mix, and Kasumi, a 5-year-old, 38 lb (goal weight 22 lbs) Cairn Terrier mix, are a bonded pair who are looking for a home to spend their golden years together. They were lovingly cared for by their previous owner, who documented their lives with a decade of holiday photos. Sadly, when their owner's health declined, they were surrendered to a shelter. Separated, Kamoku lost his appetite, and Kasumi cried inconsolably. They are truly inseparable and must be adopted together. When they are with each other, they are mellow, affectionate companions who coexist peacefully with other pets and children.

Kamoku and Kasumi would thrive in a home where they can remain together and continue to be cherished companions.

Ongoing Health

Kasumi is currently at a goal weight of 22 lbs, and is working towards that.

Training & Support

These sweet seniors are generally mellow and affectionate, and they get along well with other animals and children.

Transportation

Kamoku and Kasumi are fostered in Brooklyn, NY. They are available for local or out-of-state adoption, as long as the adopter can travel to meet them.
