Meet Astro!
If your idea of a perfect day involves hiking trails, tossing toys, learning new tricks, and having a loyal sidekick by your side, Astro might just be your guy. Astro is a 1.5-year-old Border Collie mix with a big heart, a sharp mind, and enough enthusiasm to make every day an adventure. He loves toys, loves treats, and absolutely loves spending time with his people. Whether you're teaching him a new cue or playing fetch in the backyard, Astro is happiest when he's part of the action. Like many clever young herding dogs, Astro is still polishing his manners, but he's an incredibly quick learner and eager to work for both food and praise. He can sometimes be a little unsure of new things and may bark to let you know he's noticed something suspicious. Give him a chance to investigate, though, and he quickly realizes the world isn't so scary after all. Astro is looking for an active home, ideally with herding breed experience, that will keep both his body and his brain busy. In return, you'll get a sweet, affectionate companion who is ready to be your adventure buddy and training partner. Astro isn't looking for a couch potato lifestyle - he's looking for a teammate. Ideal Home
Astro is looking for an active home, ideally with herding breed experience, that will keep both his body and his brain busy. He would do best in a home with older children due to his exuberant nature, and a fenced yard is required.
Ongoing Health
Astro is neutered and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee includes these procedures.
Training & Support
Astro is crate trained and is a very quick learner, eager to work for treats and praise. He may bark at new things initially but can be reassured with investigation.
