Lou Loomie is believed to be a Lab/Aussie mix, approximately 5 months old and weighing about 30lbs. Those ears are just the beginning of his charm! Lou Loomie is an incredibly affectionate and easygoing boy who melts into your pets. He's a perfectly balanced companion, happy to join you on an adventure or just relax by your side. He enjoys gentle affection and being close to his people.

Ideal Home

Lou would do best with experienced dog owners who understand the importance of consistency and clear boundaries. He would love a home with a backyard for exploring. A semi-active family that enjoys getting out but also appreciates quiet evenings at home would be a wonderful match for him.

Training & Support

Lou is doing very well with potty training, being successful about 85% of the time, and benefits from a frequent potty schedule. He is highly motivated by treats, making him a fantastic candidate for continued training with positive reinforcement. Lou is also crate trained and settles down nicely after an initial protest. Continued crate training is recommended for him as he thrives with structure and routine. He is dog-friendly and would do best with confident, adult dogs who can help show him the ropes. He would also be happy as an only dog.

Transportation

We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates.
