Romeo

Romeo is a super affectionate, happy, and energetic boy who is about a year and a half old and weighs around 40 pounds. He was surrendered to a shelter with his sister, Juliet, and has been in a foster home since. Romeo loves to snuggle, sleep in bed with his humans, and is described as having a contagious warm spirit. He enjoys walks, playing with other dogs, and is a welcome guest at a local nursing home, where he brings smiles to the residents. He also has experience entertaining high school students. Romeo is very attached to his people and thrives on companionship.

Ideal Home

Romeo would do best in a more mature home environment where he will get daily exercise, training, and lots of love. He has lived with multiple dogs and gets along well with them, so a home with another dog who can provide comfort during transitions would be ideal. He has never lived with cats, so that is an unknown. Romeo also thrives on companionship and should not be left alone for more than four hours at a time.

Training & Support

Romeo still needs some guidance with housebreaking and crate training. He is active and needs lots of exercise. As part of the adoption agreement, a basic obedience course is required within four months of adoption, and if adopting a puppy under four months old, a puppy socialization course must be started immediately.
