MEET MAPCO — HE IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!

Mapco is a big, fluffy, affectionate 3-year-old boy who weighs approximately 65 lbs and just wants to be near his people. He settles nicely into home life, loves soft beds and toys, and will happily relax nearby while you go about your day. At night, don’t be surprised if he tries to claim your bed as his too! He already knows "sit" and "paw," waits politely for you to throw his ball, and enjoys playtime followed by a good nap. Mapco is house-trained, signals when he needs to go out, and has done well being left alone in the home without any destruction. He also walks excellently on a leash, so going on walks will be a breeze. Mapco is very people-oriented and affectionate, playful but also enjoys lounging. He loves toys, chews, and puzzle games, and bonds strongly with his humans. Mapco was kenneled with other dogs in his previous environment and has shown gentle curiosity towards a puppy in his foster home.

Ideal Home

Mapco would thrive in a home with a yard for him to run and play. He doesn’t need marathon exercise — just walks and attention. Because of his size and enthusiasm, a home with older kids would be best.

Ongoing Health

Mapco is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and is heartworm negative. He had some initial skin itching, which improved after switching to a salmon-based diet, suggesting a potential chicken sensitivity.

Training & Support

Mapco is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He has not shown any separation anxiety.
