Jesse Bear is a handsome Shepherd/Husky mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing 52 lbs. He's like a living, breathing teddy bear with a perpetually happy smile and a gentle, affectionate nature. Jesse Bear thrives on being included in whatever you're doing, whether it's lounging around the house, accompanying you on chores, or snuggling up for some quality time. He has a way of leaning into people for love that is utterly heartwarming and makes him everyone's favorite companion without even trying.

Ideal Home

Jesse Bear would be happiest in a home with children 8 years old and older. He would also thrive in a home with a fenced-in backyard where he can explore, zoom, and soak up the sunshine.

Ongoing Health

Jesse Bear is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. He has also received a 12-month heartworm preventative injection.

Training & Support

Jesse Bear is described as having a go-with-the-flow personality and has been friendly with everyone he has met. He has also shown to be respectful and gentle around cats. He is dog-friendly and matches the energy of other dogs during play. He is generally well-behaved, but as with any rescue, ongoing positive reinforcement and continued socialization will help him continue to be a well-rounded companion.

Transporation

Jesse Bear is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Pickup locations for Canadian adopters are in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. There is an additional $87 surcharge for transportation.
