Savannah is a delightful Morkie (Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese mix) who weighs about 7.8 pounds and is estimated to be between 12-24 months old. She arrived at our rescue from a hoarding and breeding situation in Utah. Savannah is bursting with energy and has a personality much bigger than her small frame! She's a smart girl with a mind of her own and isn't afraid to let you know what she wants with her sharp little barks. Morkies are known for being spunky, fearless, and attention-loving. Savannah is incredibly attached to her person and wants to be wherever you are. She can be a bit anxious if left alone for too long, so she generally does best in a home where she's not left by herself for extended periods. Her small size and moderate energy make her a great apartment dog, and she's an excellent watchdog, quick to alert you to anything new.
Ideal Home
Savannah would do well in a home with a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time or with owners committed to leash walks. We recommend avoiding dog parks, especially those with large dogs present, due to her small size. Given her fragility, Savannah would be best suited for a home without toddlers or young children, as they might accidentally injure her. It's also important to be mindful of her small size and check sofas and beds before sitting or lying down.

Savannah is up-to-date on her vetting and will be fully processed before adoption.
Training & Support
Savannah is 90% housetrained and is comfortable in a crate, though she truly enjoys sleeping with her person. Her tendency to be vocal means that consistent training will be vital to manage her "yappy" tendencies and ensure she's a good neighbor.
