Ziggy

Ziggy is a 2-year-old, 16 lb Dachshund with a big personality and a heart full of love to give! He was rescued from a local high-kill shelter and is now thriving, waiting to find his forever family. Ziggy is a happy-go-lucky boy who is the definition of a "velcro dog" – he just wants to be wherever you are. He loves dogs of all sizes and would enjoy having canine companions. While he hasn't been around children or cats yet, his calm and easygoing nature suggests he'd likely adjust well with proper introductions.

Ideal Home

Ziggy would love a home where he can be close to his people. Plenty of toys will help keep him entertained and out of mischief.

Ongoing Health

Ziggy is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He successfully completed heartworm treatment and is doing wonderfully. Continued heartworm prevention and routine testing will be important to keep him healthy.

Training & Support

This smart boy is house trained and kennel trained. He does have a playful side and has a bit of a soft spot for shoes, so keeping them out of reach will be a must!

Transporation

Ziggy is being fostered in La Feria, TX. He can be transported to an approved adopter out of state, and his adoption fee of $550 includes transport costs.
