Rosemary

Rosemary is an approximately 11-year-old mixed breed with a gentle, quiet personality and a very low energy level. Her DNA testing shows she's a mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Labrador Retriever, Australian Cattle Dog, Golden Retriever, Chow Chow, Australian Shepherd, and Redbone Coonhound. Rosemary survived as a feral street dog for at least five years, during which time she had multiple litters of puppies. She was eventually safely trapped and brought into rescue, where she received needed medical care, including heartworm treatment. Because of her past, Rosemary remains extremely fearful and skittish in new situations and has significant lasting trauma. She needs a patient, understanding adopter willing to give her time and space to settle into a home.

Ideal Home

Rosemary enjoys a calm, predictable lifestyle and is looking for a very quiet, low-energy home. Due to her fearful nature, she is not a suitable match for homes with children.

Ongoing Health

Rosemary has completed heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Rosemary needs an adopter who is compassionate enough to let her adjust at her own pace. She needs time and space to feel safe and comfortable.
