Rosey

Rosey is a 3-4 year old, 15-pound female Maltese mix with beautiful, long white hair. She recently gave birth to five puppies and is a wonderful, devoted mother. Once her puppies are weaned, she's expected to reach a healthy weight of around 18 pounds. Rosey was rescued from a shelter in Southern California and was initially timid and fearful. She quickly bonded with her foster family, but she may greet strangers with a bark before curiosity takes over.

Ideal Home

Rosey would thrive in a home that can provide her with plenty of gentle affection and reassurance as she builds her confidence. A consistent routine will be essential for her to feel secure and to help her adjust to her new surroundings.

Ongoing Health

Rosey is a bit thin with sparse hair, which may be due to past malnourishment. She is currently on a healthy diet and is gaining weight, though nursing her pups has made it difficult. She is still nursing her pups, who are beginning to eat solid food but still enjoy nursing.

Training & Support

Rosey is new to potty training and leash walking. With patience and encouragement, she will learn your expectations and come to enjoy her walks. Establishing a regular routine will be key to her success and will help her feel safe and comfortable.
