Chumba

Chumba is a sweet, happy-go-lucky 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big heart and a lot of love to give. He came to us with his brother, Wumba, and is a friendly, affectionate boy who is very people-oriented and excited about the world around him. Chumba loves attention and enjoys walks, sniffing, and exploring. He's easy to handle on a leash and well-mannered during walks, making him a pleasant companion.

Ideal Home

Chumba is doing very well in foster care with other dogs and children. His potty-training and crate-training status is unknown. We have not yet seen Chumba around cats.

Ongoing Health

Chumba is neutered and up to date on vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm prevention, as appropriate for his age.

Training & Support

Chumba shows his enthusiasm by jumping up when excited, so he will benefit from continued basic manners training to help channel his happy energy. He takes treats gently and is responsive to people, though he doesn't seem to know formal commands yet and is eager to learn.

• Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply.
• Once approved, you will have the opportunity for a meet and greet and a 5-day foster-to-adopt trial period.
• After the trial period, you'll make your final decision to adopt or return the dog.
• A home visit will be conducted after the adoption.
