Idgie

Meet Idgie, a beautiful 3-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix weighing about 62 pounds. She's a quiet presence with striking looks and soulful eyes, ready to be your loyal and affectionate forever friend. Idgie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on all her care, making her ready for her new home. She's smart, a little serious at first, but incredibly loving once she feels secure.

Ideal Home

Idgie enjoys the company of other dogs her size and would likely thrive with a canine companion. She's wonderful with people of all ages and is also cat-friendly. Her calm and gentle nature makes her a great fit for a family. Because she can be an escape artist, a yard with at least 6-foot fencing is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Idgie is current on all her vaccinations and has been spayed and microchipped.

Training & Support

Idgie is a house-trained and crate-trained dog who can comfortably stay in her crate for up to nine hours. She sleeps peacefully through the night. Idgie does show some resource guarding around her food bowl, so she is fed separately from other pets. She has no issues with treats, toys, or bones. With simple management at mealtime, she continues to thrive.

Idgie is located at our partner rescue in Texas. Transports run every few weeks and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
