Ritchie

Ritchie is a 5-year-old, medium-sized (40-50 lbs) Australian Kelpie mix with a heart of pure gold. He may be a little shy at first, especially with men, but once he trusts you, he'll become your most loyal best friend, showering you with affection. Ritchie has been with us since early 2022 after coming in as a stray, and despite his time in the shelter, he remains joyful and loving. He truly shines when given the chance to bond with his person and earn their trust, offering a deep, loyal, and incredibly special connection in return. He's also very treat-motivated, which makes training a rewarding experience!

Ritchie would thrive with a patient, kind human who understands that building trust takes time. He needs a home where he can set his own pace, enjoy regular walks, and settle into a loving routine.

Ritchie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is healthy and ready to go home.

Training & Support

Ritchie responds well to a "get to know you" approach with patience and treats. He is very treat-motivated, so using bribery is encouraged for training success!
