Meet Sandy!
Sandy is a one-year-old Lab/Pit Bull mix with a beautiful silvery-gray coat, a winning smile, and a heart full of devotion for her people. She's the ultimate family dog, always eager to be involved in every aspect of home life. Sandy thrives on being part of the action, whether it's keeping an eye on dinner prep, joining in homework sessions, or simply lounging with the family during TV time. She's incredibly toy-motivated, loves a good game of fetch, and her happy zoomies are contagious! Sandy is also a great crate companion, settles well, and is a fantastic travel buddy, though she prefers to be home with her loved ones. She enjoys the company of other dogs, especially smaller ones, and has even coexisted peacefully with chickens. Sandy is a sensitive soul who can sometimes be overwhelmed by too much attention. She prefers to build trust at her own pace and would do best with an adopter who can read her cues and respect her boundaries.
Ideal Home
Sandy would do best in a home where her adopter can read her body language and respect her boundaries as she builds confidence. A yard would be ideal for her to play and explore. While she loves children, they are not a requirement; she can form strong bonds with adults.

Training & Support
Sandy is food motivated and eager to learn. Her foster family has been working on socialization and confidence building. She would benefit from an adopter who can continue to help her navigate new experiences.

Transporation
Sandy is located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
