Yoshi

Yoshi is a smart, active Australian Shepherd mix who loves attention from those he trusts! He's a bit wary of men and needs slow introductions to gain his confidence, but he generally warms up to women quickly. Yoshi was unfortunately mistreated by a child and father in the past, which is why he absolutely cannot be placed in a home with children. He gets along well with the staff here, even the men, but it took him time to get to know them.

Ideal Home

Yoshi needs an adopter with Australian Shepherd experience who understands their intelligence and energy needs. A securely fenced yard is a must for him to safely explore and play. Due to his past experiences, he cannot be adopted into a home with children.

Ongoing Health

Yoshi is up-to-date on his flea and tick and heartworm preventatives, administered on the 13th of each month.

Training & Support

Yoshi is very smart and enjoys playtime. He loves affection from those he trusts. Building trust with new people, especially men, will require patience and repeated positive introductions.
