Rufus

Rufus is a charming 1.8-year-old mixed-breed mystery, likely a blend of Lab, Cattle Dog, and other breeds, who was rescued from a Texas kill shelter just in time. He's a gentle soul with soulful eyes and a sturdy build, 100% sweetness, and a heart full of affection. Rufus is incredibly social and kind, doing wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and showing no aggression towards farm animals. He's even been observed gently kissing pigs through a fence! On walks, he's calm, attentive, and eager to please, making every stroll a joy. Rufus is a true lovebug, always ready to give kisses, lean in for pets, and soak up all the love he can get. He's neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Rufus is heartworm positive but has already begun slow-kill treatment, a part of his healing journey that doesn't define his loving nature and gratitude for a second chance.

Ideal Home

Rufus thrives on affection and companionship. He is excellent with dogs of all sizes and has shown no aggression towards farm animals, indicating a potentially versatile living situation.

Rufus is heartworm positive, but has already started slow-kill treatment.

Training & Support
