Dottie *URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED!

Hi there! I'm Dottie, a 2-year-old, 60 lb herding dog who is urgently seeking a new place to call home. As a herding breed, I have a lot of love to give and a big personality to match! I thrive with structure, space, and a confident leader who understands intelligent, active dogs like me.

Currently, I'm not getting the exercise and room I need to truly be myself. When I first get out, I can be a bit energetic, but once I have a chance to run and explore, my true affectionate, loyal, and deeply attached nature shines through. I might be a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I'll be your devoted companion. I already know basic commands like sit, stay, down, and heel, and I feel much more secure when I have clear guidance from a confident leader.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a steady home where I can finally relax and bond with my person. I need plenty of space, activity, and engagement to be happy. I can be selective with other dogs and would do best with calmer canine companions or as the only dog in the household. Young children can be a bit overwhelming for me, and I have a prey drive, so no cats, please.

Training & Support

I can be a bit mouthy during play, which is typical of herding dogs, but I'm not bitey. I respond well to confident leadership and clear guidance, which helps me feel safe and secure.
