Lola

Meet Lola, a loving and calm girl who was found on the highway between La Cruz and Punta Mita in Mexico. She bravely fought through ehrlichia and mange and is now thriving, ready for a home of her own. Lola has been with us for over three years and truly deserves more attention and a chance at family life. She's the kind of dog who will blossom once she leaves the shelter, and if you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a big heart, Lola is your girl!

Ideal Home

Lola would shine with an active person who loves adventures. She is best with teens or adults, as quick movements from small kids can scare her.

Ongoing Health

Lola has successfully recovered from ehrlichia and mange.

Training & Support

Lola is good with other dogs, though she prefers to be the alpha. She can get stressed in the shelter environment and may guard her toys. She walks okay on a leash but would rather receive attention than go for a walk.

Transporation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border, which remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
