There is something incredibly special about earning Tinkerbell's trust. At first, she can be a little reserved with new people, quietly taking everything in and deciding what she thinks about you. But once she realizes you're a friend, it's game over. Suddenly she's leaning into your pets, giving gentle kisses, curling up beside you on the couch, and looking at you like you've been her favorite person all along. Watching that transformation happen is one of the most rewarding things about her. Tinkerbell is the kind of dog that doesn't give her heart away to every stranger she meets, which somehow makes it even more meaningful when she gives it to you. Beneath that slightly cautious first impression is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, loving girl who wants nothing more than to be close to the people she trusts. Whether she's snuggled up in bed, being carried like a baby, splashing around in a kiddie pool, or happily following you from room to room, Tinkerbell has a way of making herself feel like family very quickly. Tinkerbell is believed to be a Pittie/Cattle Dog mix approximately 1-2 years old and currently weighs 43 lbs.
Ideal Home
Tinkerbell has blossomed so much with canine companions by her side and truly thrives when she has another dog to interact with. Because of this, having another dog in the home is a non-negotiable for this sweet girl. She has also shown herself to be respectful and calm around cats, and we can arrange a sleepover to ensure a good fit if you have a feline friend. Tinkerbell has done well with children aged 8-14, showing tolerance and affection. She would likely do best in a home with a backyard rather than an apartment.
Ongoing Health
Tinkerbell is up to date on all vetting, which includes her DAPP vaccine with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Tinkerbell is crate trained, potty trained, and has wonderful house manners. She enjoys playing with toys, spending time with her dog friends, splashing around in a kiddie pool, and finding cozy spots to snuggle. She is looking for a family who will give her time to settle in and patience as she adjusts.
