Sage is a playful, curious, clever, cuddly, and sassy 4.5-month-old Shepherd mix puppy. She is currently 20 pounds and fostered in Houston, Texas, with an expected medium adult size. Once a scared stray, Sage has blossomed into a confident puppy who enjoys playing with foster dog siblings, exploring, cuddling, and snuggling with her favorite people.

She is vocal and bossy in the best puppyish way and is still learning manners, potty training, leash skills, and how to settle when alone. Sage is learning to share space with other dogs and will need separate mealtimes. She could thrive with a compatible canine sibling after appropriate introductions or as your only dog with plenty of attention, enrichment, and socialization.

Ideal Home

Sage is looking for a loving, patient family ready for the adventures of puppyhood. Her future family should be committed to positive reinforcement, consistency, playtime, cuddles, and helping her feel safe as she continues to grow. There is no history with cats or children; children should be appropriately supervised.

Ongoing Health

Sage is reported as vaccinated. Her listed age, breed, and expected adult size are estimates based on limited information and veterinary recommendations.

Sage is working on leash skills and basic obedience and has made big strides with crate training. She will benefit from continued patient, consistent support with potty training, manners, settling alone, and socialization.
