Toby, Mr. Cutie Patootie

Toby is a 6-month-old, 26-pound Carolina Corgi mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that's slowly but surely blossoming. He was found abandoned with his mom at a high-kill shelter, and while his mom found a home, Toby was left behind, scared and alone. Thankfully, a kind foster opened their home and heart to him. Initially, Toby was terrified of the outside world, but by watching his confident foster sisters, he's learned to explore and even enjoys sunny afternoon naps outdoors. Toby is shy with new people and needs time to adjust, but once he feels safe, he becomes a devoted, quiet companion. He's calm, gentle, sweet, and never confrontational. He gets along wonderfully with other pets and thrives in their company, which is why a happy, confident, playful dog in his forever home is a must. Toby is a smart puppy who is doing well with his training and is quick to learn.

Ideal Home

Toby would do best in a quieter home without young children. A home with a happy, confident, playful dog is required, as he trusts other dogs more than humans and looks to them for reassurance. A securely and fully fenced yard is a must; electric or underground fences are not accepted.

Ongoing Health

Toby is fully vaccinated with 3 rounds of shots, neutered, and heartworm negative. He is kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.

Training & Support

Toby is currently puppy pad trained and has made great progress with indoor pottying. He is a quick learner and is expected to transition to outdoor potty training easily with a patient family and a canine companion.
