Elmer

Elmer is a calm, shy, and timid boy who will blossom with a patient and understanding family. He's been with us for two years, giving us plenty of time to learn his sweet quirks! Elmer is a loving companion who enjoys carrying his favorite stuffed animals, beds, or blankets around with him. He absolutely adores children who understand personal space and boundaries and would be happiest with someone who works from home, can take him to work, or is retired, as he truly thrives on human companionship and wants to be by your side.

Ideal Home

Elmer would do best in a home with older children who understand boundaries and space. He is dog selective and has done best with larger dogs. He is fine with indoor cats but is NOT good with outdoor cats. He is also good with livestock.

Ongoing Health

Elmer is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Elmer is crate trained, leash trained, and potty trained. He can be anxious when riding in cars, but he manages. Given his timid nature and fear of loud noises or sudden movements, it's clear he may have had a difficult past. He will need time and patience to adjust to his new surroundings and family.
