Meet Bart, a sweet 1.5-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who has overcome a lot and is now ready to find his forever home. When Bart first arrived, he was understandably scared and withdrawn due to past neglect and abuse. However, with patience, kindness, and gentle care, he's learned that people can be trusted and that life can be filled with wonderful moments. Bart can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his true personality shines through! He's goofy, incredibly loyal, and has a heart full of love to give. He enjoys playing fetch, soaking up affection, and is a quick learner who thrives on a consistent routine. While he may take a little time to build trust, when he does, he offers his whole heart. Bart is happiest when he's making his person smile and is eager to begin his next chapter filled with patience, love, and security.

Ideal Home

Bart would do best in a home that understands his need for patience as he warms up. He gets along well with other dogs, especially females, and prefers calm or submissive dog companions over dominant males.

Ongoing Health

Bart has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and comes with a clean bill of health.

Training & Support

While efforts are made to potty train all dogs, regression can be a normal part of transitioning to a new home, so continued positive reinforcement is encouraged. Bart is a quick learner and responds well to routine.
