Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who arrived at our rescue as part of a hoarding situation. While he was well-cared for, the sheer number of dogs meant he didn't get much socialization. He's a natural introvert, preferring a calm approach and time to observe before engaging. Riggs gets along well with other dogs and cats, and he would benefit greatly from having a confident canine companion in his new home to show him the ropes.

Ideal Home

Riggs needs a home with a fenced yard for safety and comfort, as he's still sensitive to loud noises and commotion. He would do best with older children (10+) who are calm and respectful, as he's not comfortable with the running, grabbing, or high-pitched noises often associated with younger kids. A laid-back household that understands the need for patience and kindness for shy dogs to truly blossom is ideal.

Training & Support

Riggs is still learning the basics of everyday life and benefits from structure, kindness, and time. He is not a fan of loud noises, sudden commotion, or questionable human sounds.

Riggs is currently located in rural Tennessee. We are able to transport dogs to New York, New Jersey, and parts of New England for an additional fee.
