Meet Guinn! Foster or Foster to Adopt Needed!
Guinn is a beautiful 4-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a soft heart and a playful spirit just waiting to shine. She spent much of her life fending for herself, and she’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Guinn is fully vetted and is currently heartworm positive, and still needs to undergo treatment. She will need a calm environment, limited activity and rest while she receives her heartworm treatment. With proper care and support, dogs typically recover very well, and she’ll be well on her way to a healthy future. She’s a shy girl when it comes to people and will need patience and understanding as she builds trust. But where Guinn really lights up is with other dogs. She absolutely loves them! Around canine friends, her playful, joyful personality comes out, and it’s like watching a different dog. Because of this, she would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly dog who can show her the ropes and help her feel more secure. Guinn has a gentle, low-key nature overall, but she enjoys bursts of playtime with her dog buddies and would benefit from a safe space where she can explore and grow at her own pace. Guinn may not be immediately outgoing with people, but her sweetness is undeniable. With time, consistency, and the comfort of a canine friend, she will continue to come out of her shell and show her true, loving self.
Ideal Home
A calm and patient environment is essential for Guinn. She would thrive in a home with at least one friendly, confident dog companion who can help her feel more secure. A secure yard for safe play and exploration is also ideal. An experienced adopter or foster who is patient with shy or undersocialized dogs would be a great fit.
Ongoing Health
Guinn is currently heartworm positive and will need to undergo treatment. She will require a calm environment with limited activity and rest during her treatment period.
